Don't Have To Type Both Words Of Captcha Code
So you want to mess with recaptcha? The fault of reCAPTCHA lies in the fact that it is used to digitize non-digital texts, as well as stop spam.
The following tips will help you easily identify which word to type.
What this means is that in every captcha, there will be two words: one that the computer knows is right and will check your text against and one that it hopes to use to digitize text. In other words, reCAPTCHA only needs one word of your captcha to be correct for your captcha to be accepted.
You will be given two words one real one fake. The fake word is unknown to the computer and can be replaced by anything. Lets just type “cat” (typing anything works but "cat" is fun. lol)
Notice how the required word is displayed, i.e. double layered (the same trick is used by Facebook) |
Words with the following are always fake. They are easily identifiable.
Almost Always Fake
Words with the following are usually fake with few exceptions. Sometimes you will get surprises, however.
Things To Remember
- The fake word is usually the one which is blurred r and harder to read even if by a little. However, sometimes it is the one which is unusually clean and easy to read, though the quality of the scanned words vanes greatly.
- Real words usually use the same type of font throughout as they are computer generated, while the appearance and font for fake words can vary greatly as they are scanned from multiple sources. See the "Odd or non-matching fonts" section for examples. The fake word is usually thicker, bolder, and blacker, than the real word but sometimes it is also thin and long.
- A fake word's alignment of letters are more likely to be in a straighter line or a smoother curve as it is scanned from printed material. A real word's alignment of letters is more likely to be wavy and a bit jumbled up due to being distorted by a computer.
- The letters making up a real word are usually warped and distorted in multiple directions, and the lines making up the letters are usually wavy and distorted.
- You will sometimes get words with lots of noticeable dots around them. They are obviously scanned from books and therefore, fake. 6. Practice. Once you start out, you will have difficulty identifying which captcha is real. But after doing few dozen, you will be proficient in picking out fakes.

The wording of this article is confusing, it's the real word that's not required (define), and the fake word that is (illemses).
ReplyDeleteI suggest people continue typing both words. Yes only one word is recognized by the system. That is because the second word needs your help to digitalize scanned old books that the computer scanners couldn't recognize. By typing both words you help the world.
