Things which naked eye can't see
The annual Small World Photomicrography Competition sponsored by Nikon aims to showcase "the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope." Indeed, the 2010 winning photographs reveal what's not seen or visible to the human eye. While many of the stunning images were taken to advance science, some are just simply beautiful to look at.
The following photos were amongst this year's 20 winners, but you can see hundreds of gorgeous photos featured from previous years as well. Some winning photographs are on display at museums across the country. You can also learn how to create your own masterpieces.Cancer
Below is a picture of two human cancer cells sitting next to each other right before they're about to divide into four cells. They're derived from the now famous "HeLa" line of cancer cells, which were taken from Henrietta Lacks in 1951 and used for medical research without her permission. "Understanding how cells divide is critical to understanding how cancerous cells multiply and take over," according to Dr. Andrews.
Mollusc baby
Dr. Rouse is a marine biologist who started taking photos through a microscope to raise awareness of "the spectacular beauty that lies hidden in the sands of the sea." The baby bivalve, which is part of the Limidae family, was swimming like a scallop by clapping its shells together when the photo was taken.
Soap film
You can see colors of soap bubbles with the naked eye, but the colors are so much more intense and beautiful under the microscope. The photo above was taken right before the soap film collapsed. Guenther is an organic farmer in Dusseldorf, Germany, who takes microphotos as part of his work -- to get a closer look at plants -- and for the fun of it.
Soy sauce
Wang is a screenwriter who was inspired to take microphotos as a hobby when she looked at snowflakes under a microscope. Here she shows the details of traditional Chinese soy sauce. Wang chose this particular image because it's the only soy sauce crystal that resembles a human face.
Wasp eye
Krebs is a professional photographer who specializes in small insects. Here he shows a Ichneumon wasp compound eye magnified 40 times.

Is Google safe search really safe? I Have Doubts
If you have searched for images on Google you probably might know there is an option called “safe search”. Well normally if you search for a word there you get pictures of naked girls and stuff (basically pornographic content). Because of that Google has given you this option to filter the search results. So you won’t get any dirty stuff in search results. There is a huge difference between normal search and safe search.
This option is really useful if you are at office or school (not searching for porn) because I don’t think you want to experience those awkward moments by looking at naked girls in front of your parents, teacher, boss or whoever there. No matter what you search there is always pornographic content.
But after what happened yesterday, I don’t trust Google. I was actually searching for a picture to put as Facebook profile picture of my friend. So I searched for girls pictures. Even if I have put the safe search “on” there are still nude pictures.
Video Chat on Omegle
It sure sounds cool because no sign up needed or anything. Just have to hit the button and you are chatting with a cute guy/girl thru cam. I don’t know when did they add this camera feature to the site. I just saw it yesterday. I was kinda excited to see how it works so I didn’t even plug the cam and hit the button, and whoa! There was this cute girl. Too bad she figured out it’s a bogus and disconnected.
Then I plugged my web cam and hit the button again expecting a cute girl to chat with. Well I wasn’t lucky(since im not gay). There was a guy laying on the bed buck naked, masturbating. I was like dude c’mon eww! And disconnected.
I didn’t give up yet. I hit chat again. A cute girl again and it looked like she was in a car (in which country they have web cams in cars?) for some reason she disconnected too. I was like what?! And hit chat again. OH no it’s a guy masturbating again. Disconnect!! I was done video chatting for the day.
I thought I should take a break, but not give up. May be tomorrow a lucky girl will appear. There is always hope.
